Who are PFLAG's members?

Our members come from all walks of life. PFLAG started as a group of heterosexual parents concerned about the discrimination they witnessed their children suffering. Today's membership span every sexual orientation and sexual minority status. We are mothers and fathers, siblings, relatives and friends from urban, suburban and rural areas throughout the country. Chapters also exist outside the United States. We are people of different ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds and faith traditions, young and old.

In spite of our diversity, we share one thing in common: a committment to create a safer world for our GLBT children.

How You Can Get Involved

Everyone who shares PFLAG's vision is welcome to join us and work towards our common goals. You can join a local chapter or as an at-large member through our National Office. As a chapter member you can also become engaged in the vital work of providing support, education and advocacy in your community.
