Service Opportunities
Serve on the Board
As a Board Member, you can put your individual talents to work and contribute to our ability to carry out our mission.
Serve as a Speaker
Whether you are a seasoned public speaker or just speak from the heart, you can appear at events, disseminate information about PFLAG, and tell your story. (Also see "PFLAG Speakers" on this website.)
Lend a Hand During Events
Sometimes we need people during events to hand out literature, help set up a booth, be available to answer questions, and so forth—simple tasks... significant help to us.
If being public is not for you, talk to us... we can always use a "backstage" helping hand.
Contribute to the Newsletter
If you'd like to see something published in our monthly newsletter, send it to the Newsletter editor.
(Note. We reserve the right to edit submissions for content, length and accuracy. If submitting information published elsewhere, please include the reference. Not all contributions may be relevant to our audience. The newsletter editor will decide what submissions make it to publication.)
Attend Meetings
Offering support to one another through monthly meetings are perhaps PFLAG's most important function. Whatever the stage you find yourself in dealing with having a GLBT loved one, your presence at meetings is priceless. Have you been to one lately?..
Contact the Chapter President and ask if you can help in the next meeting. "Cookies, anyone?"
Add to Our Library
Have you still got some of those books that helped you when your loved one first came out to you? Why let it just gather dust somewhere when others could read it on loan from our library?
