Why Doesn't My Child Act Gay?
If you believe that all gay men act "nelly" and all lesbians act "butch," you'd
be surprised how many gay men and women do not fit those stereotypes.
Many gay people live "in the closet" all their lives and never tell anyone except
their lovers. Those that do not fit the stereotype find it easier to cover up their
true sexual orientation... but that doesn't change the fact that they're homosexual.
Now that more and more gay people are coming out of the closet, the old
stereotypes are slowly dissipating. People are realizing that there is no particular "gay
behavior" that all gay men and women exhibit.
